It focuses on selected areas from financial management, helps to comprehend financial processes and creates the prerequisites for gaining the ability to solve elementary financial problems. It defines business as a specific form of resource allocation and familiarizes with the basic legal forms of business. It summarizes the basic knowledge of the property and financial structure of a business and outlines the basic factors that influence it. The publication focuses on the current asset management, which includes the management of the total need of current assets, inventory management, receivable and cash management and the financing of current assets. The publication analyses the process of investment decision making. It focuses on project cash flow planning and and familiarizes the reader with the basic financial criteria of investment projects effectiveness evaluation. Attention is given to the internal and external financial resources of investment projects financing and their advantages and disadvantages are emphasized. The publication also introduces the methodologies used in the financial analysis to assess the financial situation of enterprises.
